British Values

AS part of our commmitment to SMSC, we actively promote the fundemental British values as described by the Department for Education as;

  • Democracy
  • The rule of law
  • Individual liberty
  • mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.

Our students explore the British values through a broad curriculum. In their PHSE, citizenship and humanity lessons students explore how British values have developed and changed through time and how today they can be active citizens in their community, country, commonwealth and the world.
